EVO Performance Motor - Extra reinforcement with loctite

EVO Performance Motor - Extra reinforcement with loctite

At Manta Foils, we continuously work to refine our products and improve long-term reliability in real-world riding conditions. After extensive testing, we found that applying a small amount of Loctite to the central screw on the Performance Motor provides extra security against vibration and long-term use.
To help keep your unit performing at its best, we’re sharing a simple preventive maintenance task that you can easily carry out yourself. This quick step helps ensure optimal motor stability, contributing to a smooth and reliable riding experience on the water.

Items Required:

- Medium-strength threadlocker, *243 ideally.

- Allen/hex set

Step nº1:

Take an Allen key that fits the screw, along with a smaller Allen key to prevent the motor from spinning. Carefully insert the smaller key into the propeller threads to lock the motor, then loosen and remove the screw from the motor.

Step nº2:

Apply a small drop of Threadlocker (Loctite) 243 to the screw threads. Reinsert the screw and tighten it firmly. (hand-tight, do not over-torque).

Important notes:

Allow the Loctite to cure for at least 12–24 hours before riding.

Use medium-strength Loctite only. Do not use a permanent (high-strength) thread locker.

If a screw feels damaged or does not tighten properly, stop and contact Manta Foils support.
